Howdy, I’m Ethel Ann Jones. I’m a 23-year-old girl currently living in my home state of Mississippi. I’m bad at everything but trivia and disappointing those close to me.

The point of this blog was originally to be a digital journal kept strictly to myself, but at this point in my life I’ve found myself increasingly motivated to start contributing more to the conversation on mental health and the confusing and oftentimes devastating trials of girlhood in the midst of absolute sociocultural chaos. I am not expecting anyone to read or care about this whatsoever, but I would really love it if I could help someone else. We’re all on our own, really f**king hard Oregon Trail, and finding community to support you through all the smallpox and snakebites and broken wagons along the way is essential to our happiness. I want us all to feel comfortable opening up publicly about the ugly stuff as much as we are about the beautiful, so I may as well start doing it myself. I think that making this public will incentivize me to journal more too, so I’m going to try my best.
