If you know me personally, especially if you know me well enough to have seen me “without my face on,” you’ll know that perhaps my greatest skill in life is making my face look like another face (i.e. makeup). I fell hook line and sinker for the youtube beauty community in 2011 when I stumbled upon a Taylor Swift-inspired makeup tutorial by glasslipperbeauty, a beauty channel that…no longer exists. Yeah, I’m old. Sue me. Anyway, in recent years I’ve actually dramatically downsized my makeup collection that used to take up an entire stacked organizational system that took up my whole bathroom. As I’ve gotten older I’ve become increasingly concerned with sustainability and the health of the planet, so I vowed to start the novel concept of using up my existing makeup products before buying new ones. Wild, I know.
The point is, however, that throughout this process I’ve found the best of the best when it comes to beauty and skincare. My true ride-or-die products that stay in my ridiculously dirty makeup satchel through thick and thin, the products that go on my face on a daily basis. The most trusted of these products are, of course, available on Amazon, so I’ve decided to unleash the big guns: my everyday makeup favorites. Every single product, from skin prep to finishing flairs, that I use when I want to look more like Jessica Alba than I do Dobby the House Elf. I’m not going to take the time to gush over each product as that would take me the entire weekend, but I will link them and give them the most descriptive titles possible. Mazel tov, my fellow makeup lovers. Let’s do this thing (in order of application):
- (in daytime) Cerave Vitamin C Serum for brightness and to assist your SPF
- Vanicream: the Best Moisturizer to Ever Exist (simply put, and it’s sold by the motherf**king pound)
- (in daytime) this Biore SPF that’s so good none of the packaging is even remotely in English
- This hydrating Tula eye balm
- This brightening AF Tula eye balm
- LA Girl peach color corrector to cancel out blue tones (dark circles under the eye)
- L’Oréal Lumi Glotion (every single makeup artist I respect uses this constantly and, yes, over the Charlotte Tillbury Flawless Filter — that one has too small of a doe foot and is just a touch too sheer IMO)
- L’Oréal 24 hour fresh wear foundation (full coverage and looks dewy and natural and stunning and gorgeous and also perfect)
- Tarte Radiant Shape Tape concealer (full coverage but so natural looking on the skin…simply too good) OR Kosas Revealer Concealer
- Elf halo glow contour wand (so easy to use and the perfect contour shade for my translucent skin) or my all time favorite contour stick (there will be a lot of rare beauty in here mmkay)
- I use oodles of different blushes, but my favorite has got to be the liquid classic by Rare. It’s just so effortless and dewy and perfectly pigmented…werk.
- If I use a highlighter, it will either be this rare liquid option or this little powder option lol.
- Urban Decay primer potion in Eden because not a day goes by that I don’t rely on this product with everything I have.
- Rare beauty liquid shadow for a literal three-second effortless lid look
- But of course my eyeshadow pick of the season every season is the Morphe JACLYN HILL PALETTE. I told y’all this list had some seriously archival hits. This 2017 bangarang is no exception; it is the perfect mixture of mattes and metallics and everything you need for any look any time of year, seriously. Make fun of me all you want — my eyes will still be stunning.
- This is the original, the elite and simple brown/black kohl eyeliner pencil. I love a kohl, being able to smudge it right after you apply it and then have it set and not budge is SO NICE.
- Lancôme cils booster = the eyelash primer I haven’t lived a day without since I was fifteen years old. No lie. I love this magical stuff — it basically gives you a second lash to stack atop your existing ones, and it adds ludicrous length too.
- One thing about me is that if I’m going out of the town, I’m going to wear a tubing mascara. Not having to deal with smudging or anything less than ideal on the eye and then learning it’s so easy to replicate tomorrow was a revelation I wish I could experience over again because oh my what a beautiful moment.
- For powdered face products, this blush and this bronzer. You’re welcome! Lol.
- This is my favorite setting spray of all time. Extra strength bridal mode engaged. Come on Skindinavia!
- Simply use this sponge. Life hack unlocked.
- I’m obsessed with this easy lipstick for the holidays! It couldn’t be more appropriate for this time of year.
- THE BEST FALL LIPLINER I WEAR IT EVERY DAY AND IT’S SO GOOD
- Sarah Kay kept referring to this lip gloss of mine as “the dior” and I was SO confused but it’s because she has the Dior and couldn’t even clock the difference between the two formulas whatsoever. This dupe…is duping my friends.
Well there you have it folks, my full fall Amazon makeup routine! This is the Gospel truth of what I put on my face on a daily basis. If y’all are curious about other beauty or skincare finds, feel free to comment anonymously and let me know. I stand by every recommendation in this list FULLY!

I think your Rare liquid blush link is not working
